Phoebe North writes books for teenagers about mermen and aliens from her expensive and miniscule apartment in Northern Virginia. She has an MFA in poetry from the University of Florida, but hasn’t written a poem in over 24 months. Her current project is Daughter of Earth, a YA story of love, rebellion and angst set on a generation ship.

She posts about fiction, television, and life at www.phoebenorth.com. Clearly, she has mixed feelings about the Oxford comma.

Sean Wills writes genre YA that people sometimes tell him is not actually YA, particularly fantasy and SF (but not dystopian – yet!). His WIP is Castor, a YA science fiction novel that is currently in the very early stages of drafting. He lives in Ireland and studies English and History at NUI Maynooth.

Shannon Riffe writes YA sci-fi, fantasy, and contemporary. She’s lived in five states and two continents (three, if you count those months studying abroad) and currently resides in a state that’s shaped like a mitten. Her current project is a Rapunzel meets Gattaca sci-fi dystopian fairy-tale set in a Detroit of the not-so-distant future.

She used to be quite a prolific blogger, but Make It has fallen a bit by the wayside as she works frantically to complete her novel in early 2011.

Tee Tate received a Master of Arts in English from Southeastern Louisiana University where she studied creative writing with SEBA winner and Edgar Award nominee Tim Gautreaux and Booksense pick novelist Bev Marshall. Tee was a 2008 Louisiana Book Festival panelist and writes short fiction and novels that almost always have supernatural or dystopian elements. She does not, however, write about sparkly, angsty vampires.

A self-professed Potter nerd and die hard New Orleans Saints fan who makes no apologies for frequently saying “y’all” or calling total strangers “honey,” Tee formed and maintained the Louisiana based La Literati and has worked professionally as a news reporter and assistant editor for regional magazines and newspapers.
